I use google, but never hit a button called "I'm feeling Lucky". But fortunately, I got a free time to explore what it does actually.

"I am feeling Lucky" button redirects you to the "Top Ranked" page of that particular keyword (what you've entered in Google Search Bar).

 Let's say - I punched "Vaishnomata" and hit the button "I'm feeling Lucky" then it redirects me directly to the top ranked page in google without showing any results or related search results.

So, as the name of button implies - it is a Lucky thing to the user that he/she got the best suitable result by clicking that button.
