I found a very useful link which is helpful for creating FAVICONs. It generates an icon online. no need to download softwares etc etc.. �it's��http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/�

Make sure the actual file which you submit must be 16x16 which is the regular size of a fav icon..
